My experience working with Kelly Balmer to purchase my current home was absolutely amazing! For this home search I met her through my close friend, her colleague Chris Stiles, and it was my first experience working with her. Although it wasn't my first home purchase, it was the first time I had done it by myself. It was the height of the sellers market in spring 2021 and Kelly guided me through the process with friendly confidence, exceptionally quick responses, and convenient scheduling that prioritized my needs. Due to a change in my rental home, I needed a new home immediately (as in: notice received only 1.5 months prior to my move out date), which would have been stressful at any time but was particularly stressful during covid. In a time when there were not many choices available, Kelly still managed to gently and wisely guide me away from homes that she knew were not right for me and not wise decisions, as well as confidently assure me that there would be better options than the homes that I was aiming for but that did not work out for whatever reason. When the house I bought came on the market, I texted her, we saw it same day just a few hours later, and she quickly helped me prepare an offer to submit well before the deadline. Despite there being literally 35 offers on the house, Kelly's smart offer helped me get it. I've been in the home a year and a half now and have redone nearly the entire thing. Kelly is phenomenal. She was so responsive and knows the area so well. I can’t imagine this process having gone any smoother, and that was thanks to Kelly. Knowledge of the area: There are a lot of nuances to consider and Kelly made sure I was aware of all of them. For example, my target neighborhood has high condo fees due to the buildings being older. Kelly knew which buildings were exceptions to that trend, and as soon as an opportunity presented itself, we seized it. Process expertise: A huge benefit to working with Kelly is that she has connections to a lot of options when it comes to insurance, lenders, etc. All of these relationships have turned out to be just as stellar as my experience with Kelly. I feel I can really trust Kelly and any recommendation she gives. Responsiveness: I prefer to communicate via text and Kelly honored that and responded immediately. She was willing to jump on the phone within an hour of my asking. We ended up putting the offer in over Thanksgiving and closing right around Christmas, but despite the awkward timing, Jeff was always on the ball and quick to response to our questions. Jeff was super patient throughout, and went out his way to go see places for us, even when we weren’t in town - we didn’t even need to ask, if we mentioned there was a house that we liked, he would offer to go see it and send us video on his initiative. To me this is one of the things that separates Jeff from other agents - he is super hardworking and runs all over the city for his clients. Jeff also offers honest advice - he’ll tell you if he thinks a house is underpriced or overpriced based on his vast experience, which was super helpful for first-time homebuyers like us. Jeff was also very helpful finding us a mortgage agent that offered us a far better rate than we were getting from other people, and he helped us clinch the deal on our house under asking price through his power of persuasion. Most importantly, though, Jeff is just a fun and cool guy, and we would recommend him to anybody looking to purchase a home in DC.

How the hell does one buy a condo long distance? Eddie answered that question easily. By listening to us and his thoughtful response, he built our trust quickly. Nicole was nothing less than amazing throughout the process of selling our condo. The end result was great: our condo sold within our desired price range during a difficult time with the high interest rates. But we got so much more than just a successful sale by working with Nicole. She is genuinely a kind and caring person. I was stressed prepping for an overseas move and she put me at ease immediately, and was very patient and gentle with us the whole way through. She skillfully managed a slew of repairs we needed prior to putting our condo on the market and then the handful of items that came up during inspection. She hosted many open houses that brought in a lot of viewers and diligently followed up with potential buyers. She even guided us through a couple low ball offers.
